How does Radiesse® dermal filler work?
Radiesse® is developed using a unique combination of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres and a water based gel. Immediately following injection the microspheres act as a filler to create a soft and natural look. You will enjoy noticeable results immediately.
You will continue to experience the benefits of Radiesse® over time. Your body will slowly absorb the gel, while the very tiny microspheres remain helping to create new collagen. This new tissue will surround the CaHA microspheres to create the volume we lose over time.

The Radiesse® treatment:
Radiesse® dermal filler is administered through an outpatient procedure in which the gel is injected into the skin. The treatment session is simple, safe, and fast. Dr. Pack may recommend the use of a local anesthetic during the treatment process.
Following treatment you will notice immediate results with little or no downtime. Some patients report swelling and redness for approximately twenty-four hours after injection.
The Radiesse® results
Results from Radiesse® dermal filler generally last up to a year, or more for some patients. Like all cosmetic procedures results may vary, depending on age, skin type, and lifestyle. The results from Radiesse® are not permanent so you will always have the flexibility to sculpt your desired appearance based upon your schedule.
Most patients reach their desired results after one treatment session. You and Dr. Pack can decide on the maintenance schedule that works for you. Touch-up treatments may be recommended.
What are the side effects associated with Radiesse® dermal filler injections?
Radiesse® is considered a very safe treatment option with very few side effects reported in both clinical trials and actual usage by patients. Years of meticulous research conducted worldwide have proven that Radiesse® dermal filler is safe and effective.
However, as with all injectable fillers certain side effects may be experienced. These reactions include mild irritation, edema, swelling, itching, discoloration, or tenderness at the injection site. These conditions are temporary and should clear up within a day or two.
