Before receiving Botox® Cosmetic injections you should make an appointment with Dr. Pack for a free consultation, in which you will discuss any allergies or conditions that may prevent Botox® from being the right choice for you. You should also disclose any medications that you are taking because some may interact with the ingredients found in Botox® Cosmetic.
When arriving for your treatment you will notice that no anesthesia is required. However, for patients who are sensitive to discomfort, Dr. Pack may choose to numb the treatment area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream. Dr. Pack will decide where to administer the injections based on your individual facial make-up. The entire process only takes about 10 minutes to complete and you are free to go on with your day without any down time.
After treatment, what kind of results are typical?

However, patients with an infection in the treatment area, allergies to any of the ingredients found in Botox®, or if you are pregnant or think that you may be pregnant Botox® Cosmetic is not for you. Be sure to tell us if you have any diseases that affect your nerves or muscles, you are breastfeeding, or if you plan on becoming pregnant.
Common side effects associated with Botox® are usually temporary and include eyelid droop, nausea, injection site pain, inflammation, tenderness, welling, redness, or bleeding/bruising. Infection is also a possible injection site side effect. Patients with certain neuromuscular disorders including ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may have an increased likelihood of serious side effects.
